The Wedding day

Well yesterdays festivities went off without a hitch.....

We left home at 9am. I was dressed, but everyone else was getting changed at Terrigal. We made in all the way into Gosford when it happened...................Harry threw up in his lap. Luckily, I had a change of clothes for him, and a garbage bag, because this isn't the first time he has had the bowl on his lap, and missed it. We stopped at a park and cleaned everything up....I mean I cleaned it up, and then piled back into the car to travel the last 10 minutes to Marie's house. We decided to stop here and get the boys changed, and Mick. When we arrived at the church, the kids found a toy room and I got Matilda's dress on without too much fuss. She did however insist on carrying a little plastic farmer down the aisle in her basket of flowers, but that was a small price to pay.

The boys practised their walk many times before the Bride's late arrival, and Aunty Ann made it just in time after getting lost in Gosford. All went well.

The photos were taken down at the beach, and the kids predictably were more interested in the pelicans and seas gulls, not to mention the sand. We managed to keep them clean, but they were glad to be rid of the bow-ties by the time it was over.

The reception was really good. The food was delicious, but not a lot of kids food. They did however have heaps of colouring book to amuse them............for about 15 minutes. The time between the meal and the speeched was way too long and my that stage Harry and Charlie had discovered the microphone, and Matilda had found the cake. She put two lovely finger prints in the marzipan icing, which was discreetly covered over with flowers......oops!!

Ann ended up taking the kids to the beach as the speeches went on and on, and on, and on, and on, and on........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz what!

We got home at 9pm, and all fell into bed exhausted. Well the kids and I did..Mick had to check out whether the Internet had fallen apart whilst he had been away.

I have even included a photo of Mick and I, even though I still look gross...

Anyway, it was a pretty good day, long and exhausting, but nice too. Ann borrowed our TomTom to get home and was extremely grateful.
