Weekend Wonders

Saturday was the first week back to Athletics for the year. Charlie is now in Under 6's and Harry in Under 8's. Mick took Harry's group off for their events, because he pretty much runs that group. I tagged along with Charlie, this week. We had an Athletics representative at each event to help the kids learn the rules. Charlie did really well at long jump, OK at the 100m run, but he really excelled at shotput, which I guess isn't really surprising considering how good Mick was at it as a child, and his size. He put the shot the furthest out of the whole group, and we think he may even beat the Under 6's record of 5.25m by the end of the year.
