Just a Quickie
Just a quick one to update on how things are going.
Our talk with the Principle went well, and hopefully Harry will get the extension he needs through his teacher Mr Heally. We are going to wait another week until the "Meet the Teacher" night, and just see how things are going. He had already recognised that Harry was very intelligent, and spoke to Mick the morning before our meeting, so that is good. He has also worked at schools where there were Gifted and Talented Children Programs in place, so here hoping that is a bonus.
Charlie has settled in well, and is making some new friends, with some of the kids that were in the other Kindy classes. He is especially close to Jamie and Jayden.
Matilda has started swimming lessons, and she has been great. She floats off across the pool with the floaties on, and even goes under when she does her jumps at the end. We have been enjoying our walks to and from school, despite the heat.
Last week we had temperatures exceeding 40 degrees, and today it was 20 degrees and raining. You just can't grasp the difference, it is crazy. In Victoria, over 137 dead, and they expect more. They say they are closing in on the arsonist, but I wonder how they could possibly find out who caused all that after so much damage. It is just heartbreaking to believe that so many towns could be totally destroyed, completely wiped-out. It makes our problems seem so insignificant........................only their not................
Still feeling down......... but trying hard to stay positive and get on with it......... so hard when it all I can think of, and I seem to be dreaming about it as well, just to make sure that it a 24/7 obsession...............
