Winter Holidays

These winter holidays we decided to go for a quick trip away to Granddad's on the Central Coast.  The weather was cold but sunny and the kids took every advantage to go paddling in the ocean. 

We spent a lively afternoon at North Avoca building sand castles and getting wet and sandy.  On Sunday we went up to The Entrance for lunch and then further north to Soldier's Point where we had an excellent view of the passing whales.  The kids found a massive sand dunes to climb and roll down. 

Mick and I had a lovely dinner out with some new friends and enjoyed both the company and the yummy Thai food. 

We also went down to The Haven and went out on the rock platform.  We spotted two octopuses.  Mick got a great shot of this one.
