Weekend Wonders
We had another quiet one this weekend. We were supposed to be going to a BBQ at our friends Amanda and Hobbo's, but Hobbo got called into work. On Saturday, the kidlets were playing outside and they discovered wild Fred, and wild Fred....confused, then allow me to explain.
We have a Blue Tongue Lizard, who we got off a friend, in 1999....so he is ten years old. He lives out the back in a special enclosure which allows him to get regular sunlight, and he can dig under the bark and sleep during the winter. He has recently emerged from hybernation. Over the past three or four years, we have had regular wild Blue Tongues in the backyard, who I have always just called wild Fred. Yesterday the boys found two of the wild Freds, and Charlie just marched over and picked one up. This, of course, may Harry feel braver, and he picked up the other one. I was very proud of my brave boys.....and a little surprised!!!
